Stitching the Invisible.
Knitting transforms thread into testimony—a craft long overlooked, yet central to women’s art and resistance.

The Long Night- 122cmx92cm - acrylic paint and yarn on canvas- April 2025 In Greek mythology, Penelope wove by day and unraveled by night—using her loom to resist and survive. Her thread was her strength. The long red strand in this painting echoes that quiet defiance. Knitting becomes a way to move through uncertainty—stitch by stitch, with purpose. This piece is a tribute to that strength. It was made in collaboration with my daughter, who knitted the red thread that completes the work.
